Paris Cemeteries

Cemeteries are for the living.  And Paris cemeteries are for photographers.  My favorite is Père Lachaise, a 110-acre park located in the 20th arrondissement.  Its rolling terrain is filled with 70,000 burial plots, holding the famous and not-so-famous.

Mourning

The mourners keep coming to Jim Morrison's gravesite in Père Lachaise Cemetery located in Paris's 20th arrondissement.  Many were not alive when Morrison died while sitting in a Paris bathtub in his apartment located at 17–19 rue Beautreillis in the 4th arrondissement.  No autopsy was performed, but it most likely was as a result of snorting heroin that Morrison thought was cocaine.

Fish

Upon arrival all we saw was fruits and vegetables.  Nice enough, but not what we were looking for.  And then that unmistakable smell hit--fresh fish just in from the boat.  We entered the balcony of a large hall.

Funchal

The cloud covered disappeared as the plane banked sharply to the right, making a semi-circle as the engines accelerated to support the sharp decline.  Out the right window, I could see three swimmers in the pool below and out the left window there was blue sea.  Within ten seconds, we were on the ground.
