U.S. Border Patrol Cmdr. Gregory Bovino returned to Chicago this week to highlight that ICE and the the U.S. Border Patrol are still rounding up migrants. The Little Village Community staged a demonstration Wednesday, December 17 in opposition to the Donald J. Trump’s deportation efforts. Here are my thoughts about and images from the demonstration.

A group of demonstrations recreated the photograph on November 11, 2025, but instead of holding long guns, the demonstrations held signs calling for ICE to leave Chicago.
