Prairie

Prairie

Cafe Brauer dates to 1908, when it was built by Caspar Brauer, who operated a restaurant in the building.  It was designed by Dwight H. Perkins, who obviously adopted the Prairie-style design.  Located on the south pond in Lincoln Park, the building now is a popular site for weddings and similar events.  On the pond-side, you can enjoy a cafe-style meal.  It is also a good place to take kids for ice cream following a visit to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
