It's Halloween
Halloween rolled around this week. I was in New York City for the 49th Annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. Hunger Strike Outside the White House
While in Washington, D.C. this past week, I stumbled upon several Uyghur activists across the street from the White House. Four of the demonstrators had begun a hunger strike two days earlier. New Jersey Congressman Christopher Smith was the featured speaker. Although the gathering was small, it was one of the more emotional demonstrations I have attended. Here are my thoughts and images.

I spent two days at the 2022 Illinois State Fair last week, attending Governor’s Day and Republican’s Day, as well as enjoying the celebration of the Illinois’ agricultural industry, the Midway, the harness horse races, the assorted exhibits, and even some of the food, including the ice cream.
